Mother's Day Strata

Mother’s Day Strata
The convenience of assembling the strata the night before makes breakfast or brunch an easier hot meal to serve. You can also divide and assemble the strata among ramekins and serve individually. This dish is a universal favorite with kids and can be doubled easily for a family gathering.
3 slices bread without crust
4 slices bacon, raw, diced
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 eggs
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup milk
Dash pepper
In a 1 quart sprayed baking dish, place the bread slices. Layer on top of the bread, the bacon, and then the cheese.  In mixing bowl, stir together the eggs, mustard, milk and pepper. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers. Cover the strata with foil and place in the refrigerator overnight. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Serves 4 - 6
