Corn Dog Muffins

Corn Dog Muffins
 
These tidy packages of corn dog flavors are ideal for packing for picnics, outdoor activities, and are a compliment to soups and salads.  This on-the-go snack comes together quickly and freezes well.
 
1 -8.5 ounces package cornbread mix
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup whole kernel corn, drained
3 hot dogs, chopped
 
In a mixing bowl, combine the cornbread mix and brown sugar.  In a separate bowl, combine the egg and milk.  Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.  Stir in the corn and hot dogs.  Fill paper-lined muffin cups to the top with the batter.  Bake at 400 for 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  Makes 1 dozen.
