Candy Corn Bark

Candy Corn Bark

For all those Halloween and Thanksgiving get-togethers, this easy to make bark is the ideal sweet treat for all ages.  The lemon extract give the candy a little more sophisticated flavor for the adults, but it is still gobbled up by kids too.

6 Tablespoons butter
2 -12 ounce bags of vanilla or white chips
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 ½ teaspoons lemon extract
¾ cup chopped walnuts, toasted
1 ½ cups candy corn

Line a 9 x 13 baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the chips and milk; cook and stir until just blended. Remove from heat and stir in the lemon extract, chopped walnuts and 1 cup of the candy corn. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle with the remaining candy corn. Chill in the refrigerator until it sets, approximately 1 hour. Lift the bark out of the pan by the foil, peel off the foil and break into pieces. Store the bark in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator for several weeks.
