Memorial Day: Brownie Trifle

Brownie Trifle

Just in time for Memorial Day celebrations, the Brownie Trifle is an ideal dessert for all ages.  You can assemble the trifle in a large trifle dish or you can make individual trifles using wine glasses. This impressive dish is a memorable tribute to the beginning of summer.

13 x 9 brownie mix, prepared
2 ½ cups milk
2 packages instant pudding (vanilla, cheesecake, or white chocolate)
8 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 Heath Bars, chopped
½ cup walnuts, chopped, toasted

In a mixing bowl, stir together the milk and pudding mixes. Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture.  Cut the brownies into 1” cubes.  In a trifle dish, layer the brownies, the pudding mixture, sprinkle with nuts and the chopped candy bars.  Repeat the layers, top with sprinkled nuts and chopped candy bars.  Serves 8 - 10.
