Super Bowl Cheesy Loaf

Super Bowl Cheesy Loaf

Men and kids devour this cheesy with their football grub. Pull out a bite-size-cube with the warm and stringy cheese and you’ll be addicted too.

1 pound round loaf bread (boule, sour dough, rustic Italian)
16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, sliced (or any cheese of your preference)
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons, lemon juice
2 tablespoons Dijon bread with their football grub.
1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion salt

Make cubes by slicing 1 inch widths across the bread and within a ½ inch of the bottom.  Turn the loaf and repeat slicing again to make the cube shape pieces. Place the cubed loaf on a large sheet of foil.  Place the sliced cheese in between each cube slice.  In a small sauce pan, melt the butter and add the lemon juice, Dijon, garlic powder and onion salt.  Drizzle the butter mixture over the loaf and wrap the bread in the foil.  Place the wrapped loaf on a baking sheet and bake at 350 for 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.  Serve warm.  Serves 6 – 8.
