Christmas Tree Crescents
During the holidays, we all have our traditional foods and
these Christmas Tree Crescents are one of ours.
1 – 11 ounces can refrigerated soft breadsticks
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tablespoon water
Sesame seeds and/or poppy seeds
Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Separate the
breadstick dough into 8 pieces. Using one
piece, cut off 1 ½ inches to make the tree stump. Shape the remaining
breadstick into a Christmas tree by making a series of “s” shapes onto the
cookie sheet. Add the “stump” piece to
the bottom of the tree. (See photo
below.) In a small bowl, combine the egg and water. Brush the egg mixture over
the trees and sprinkle evenly with seeds. Bake at 350 for 14 – 16 minutes. Serve warm. Serves 8
