Lemon Sticky Buns

Lemon Sticky Buns

This Spring-time lemony version of sticky buns is easy, with only a can of biscuits and a few ingredients.

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries
2 tablespoon butter, melted
Grated lemon peel of one lemon
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Glaze
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice


In a large bowl, combine the sugar, walnuts, raisins or cranberries, butter and lemon peel.  Separate the biscuits and cut each one into four pieces and toss with the sugar mixture.  Place the biscuits in a 9-inch pie pan that has been mist with cooking spray.  Bake at 400 for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.  Invert onto a wire rack.  In a small bowl, stir together the powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth, and drizzle over the warm buns.  Serves 4 – 6.
